We succeeded in raising the funds necessary to fund the sports equipment that we planned to puchase for 4 of the more vulnerable schools along our route. The equipment has already been ordered and will be distributed as soon as it arrives.
The track safety marshals who were recruited from the various communities have been remunerated. Thanks in part to these volunteers, there were no injusries to riders or spectators.
We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to you for your help in making the 2018 Bike Festival possible. It is our hope that the event will continue on an annual basis and will inspire other sporting groups to take up the challenge to put Livingstone on the map as worthy hosts.

Livingstone is in a Malaria area. However the amount of cases has dramatically decreased in the last few years. The hospitals here are able to treat you should you need it. The best precaution obviously is not to be bitten – wear long trousers and long sleeved shirts in the early morning and evening and wear insect repellent. Please consult your health care professional regarding prophylactics for malaria in advance of travel.
